Small Projects - Gameboy Development

Assembly C
As a child I was always fascinated how game developers were able to create these enormous worlds and somehow cram all of it onto a tiny cartridge that acted like a portal device and as an adult that fascination only grew more.

I'm generally (but not always) somewhat of a purist with my software journey which is why I generally avoid bloated tech stacks with my web development projects and prefer instead to stick with vanilla offerings that provide (in my opinion) a better baseline for software development.

To that end, I have sought a handful of projects that are forcibly constrained and restricted. I figure if I begin with a project on something like the Gameboy, it will give me a really good sense of this and I think I'll appreciate coding concessions that developers had back in the day.
